Buses

Yellow buses basically travel along the coast along Mojácar Playa and up to Mojácar Pueblo. Also there appears to be a service to Almeria, see the following links for further details.

There is a bus stop at Cueva del Lobo on the Playa at the bottom of the road that the apartment is on, cross over the crossing and the bus-stop is over the other side. Buses appear to run every 30 minutes from 8.30am to 21.30 (except 14.30) from the Hotel Indalo at the far end of the Playa (right onto the Playa from the apartment) so add on a couple of minutes for the bus to reach our stop at Cueva del Lobo. The first morning bus, the 15.00 and 20.00 services all continue on to Sopalmo village. From Mojácar Pueblo, they run hourly from 9.45am to 21.45 (excluding 14.45)

See the following links for more information on timetables.

There are also buses to Vera and Garrucha.
There is also a Road Train that travels along the playa, although we've no idea what the timetable is.

For those wanting to go further afield, there are coach services to Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante and Granada.

Trains

There are no trains around Mojácar. The nearest train station appears to be Almeria which is 50-60 miles away. More details can be found at http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/ingles.html

Taxis

Taxis can be found at all the airports.  From Almeria, the fare is about 80 euros one way, however if you book your flight with Tarleton Travel they offer airport transfer for 45 euros.

You can also use Shuttle Direct their fare from Almeria to Mojácar averages £12 per person.

There are local taxi phone numbers available in the apartment, however they are almost impossible to get hold of we are told, so do not rely on them. Book a car with http://www.carjet.co.uk
